Chipmunks

Welcome, you will all love to hear we are all back online and well. The random fever that took two of us down ceased to prowl amongst the boys and allowed some serious sightseeing to go on!

Here in Agra there is an extraodinary amount of green, rather rare for this part of the world! One such place is Agra fort, a world heritage building that has played vital roles through many wars and and times. For many years, it was a palace of the kings and queens during the time when Agra was the capital of this nation. The architecture was sapectacular, huge red walls stood ominously around the interior building some of which blended into the red sandstone, others sharply contrasting with their white marble shining in the yellow indian haze. Cards on the beautifully kept lawns as monkeys did monkey business on the gargoils.

Food in Agra has been excellent and that evening we found further culinary delights with a slight view of the taj! And that is where we were headed the next day. One finds it hard to express the beauty and the splendour of such a place. Indeed the inspirational architecture, not only in the smooth and intricatly carved structures of the palace itself but right through the central grounds and gardens. One can only imagine the silence and awesomeness of this place......... had there not been millions of people everywhere!!! It was mental, we were constantly pushed and shoved, it felt like trying to get into a football match. After enjoying the sights and finally getting sick of indians taking pictures of us we found solace, yep, the chipmunks!

Awesome little things, we were fixated on them as they ran around us picking up crumbs and fighting one another, brilliant, we will come to see them again :)

We now head to delhi, in 2hrs actually, so time is of the essence. Stay cool. 2 days left in India!
