Farewell India

Delhi has treated us with great kindness, a wonderful time has been had but i must add, just too short. We arrived late last night on the nicest train journey yet, supreme comfort on the Indian Northern Rail, class 3AC baby yeah!

The nicest hotel of India so far too at a bargain rate of 2 pound 50 each, class! today we have razzed about in tuk tuks, seen plenty of the highways and enjoyed fabulous coffee around connaught place, arguably the largest roundabout in the world (which is within a roundabout, which is also within a big dobber of another roudabout).

The serious note of the day was hit when we got to the Gandhi Smriti (meaning memorial according to our man Jonathan). This was excellent, the actual place where he lived and was assasinated. The information was extremely thorough and truly fascinating taking one through Gandhi's life from very early years, right through the major roles he played in world politics up to his death in 1948.

We are now just sitting about, enjoying our last hours in this madness (though it is rather tame in comparrison to what came before). Food has been ultimate in india but there are certain items the tree warriors would request to be availible upon their triumphant return......PLEASE!

Christianos as follows: Home Made Bread, Golden Grahams Cereal with Full Cream Milk, Bacon, Fine Wine (Chillean, Italian or French) and REAL ALE!

Jonathan as follows: Shreddies, Sunday Times, Bacon, Alcohol (as above), Moussaka (already negotiated), Galaxy (100g), Grapes (any variety) and Cumberland Sausages.

John: (not here but we reckon) Fresh Granary Bread, Alpen and probably much of the above.

THANKYEE! Anyway, we must go to Dubai, see you later :)
